These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of www.daisysmeadowretreat.com and to all bookings made with Daisy’s Meadow Retreat.

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat is operated by Deborah Windibank as a sole trader.

By using this website or making a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you make a booking on behalf of other guests, you are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of and comply with these terms.

2. Use of This Website

This website provides information about Daisy’s Meadow Retreat, its accommodation, facilities, availability and booking services.

You must not misuse the website or attempt to:

Gain unauthorised access to the website or associated systems
Introduce viruses, malicious software or harmful code
Interfere with the website’s operation or security
Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
Provide deliberately false or misleading booking information

We may update, suspend or restrict access to parts of the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or improvements.

3. Website Information

We take reasonable care to ensure information on the website is accurate and up to date.

However, because Daisy’s Meadow Retreat operates in a natural countryside environment, photographs and descriptions may differ slightly from the appearance of the site at the time of your stay.

Seasonal changes, weather, vegetation, furnishings and other minor details may vary.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights where accommodation or services are materially different from what was agreed.

4. Making a Booking

Bookings are made through the Daisy’s Meadow Retreat website using the Wix Hotels booking system.

The person making the booking must be 18 years of age or over and must provide accurate and complete information.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all other guests included in the booking comply with these Terms & Conditions.

Each bell tent accommodates a maximum of two guests.

Children of any age may stay when accompanied by a responsible adult.

5. Payment

The full cost of the stay must be paid at the time of booking.

A booking is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and a booking confirmation has been issued.

Prices shown during the booking process apply to the accommodation and dates selected at the time of booking.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Guests may cancel their booking and receive a full refund provided the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the scheduled check-in date.

If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before the scheduled check-in date, no refund will normally be provided.

This is because the accommodation has been reserved exclusively for the guest and there may be limited opportunity to secure another booking at short notice.

Confirmed bookings cannot normally be moved or transferred to alternative dates.

If Daisy’s Meadow Retreat cancels a booking because the accommodation cannot safely or reasonably be provided, the guest will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

7. Changes to Booking Dates

Bookings are made for the specific accommodation and dates selected during the booking process.

Guests do not have an automatic right to move or transfer a confirmed booking to alternative dates.

Any exception must be expressly agreed by Daisy’s Meadow Retreat.

8. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in: from 3:00pm

Check-out: by 11:00am

Guests must vacate their accommodation by the stated check-out time unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

9. The Glamping Experience

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat provides a rural and off-grid glamping experience.

Guests should understand before booking that:

The luxury bell tents are located within a private five-acre meadow
The tents are off-grid
There is no mains electricity at the tents
Drinking water is available
A shared shower facility is available
Private eco-toilet facilities are provided
The setting is rural and may include uneven ground, mud, insects, wildlife and changing weather conditions

By booking, guests acknowledge and accept the nature of this countryside experience.

10. Access to the Tents

The bell tents are located within a private five-acre meadow and are accessed through two fields.

When weather and ground conditions permit, guests may be able to drive directly to the tents.

Vehicle access cannot be guaranteed.

If the ground is unsuitable, guests will be required to park in the designated parking area and walk to the accommodation.

The need to walk to the tents due to weather or ground conditions does not, by itself, entitle a guest to a refund outside the cancellation policy above.

Guests should ensure they are prepared and suitably equipped for rural access.

11. Weather

Guests are responsible for checking weather forecasts before travelling.

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat does not undertake to monitor ordinary weather conditions on behalf of guests.

Normal British weather, including rain, wind, cold temperatures or muddy ground, will not normally be grounds for a refund outside the cancellation policy.

Guests should bring suitable clothing and footwear.

12. Cancellation by Daisy’s Meadow Retreat

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat may cancel a booking where circumstances outside its reasonable control mean the accommodation cannot safely or reasonably be provided.

Examples may include:

Exceptional weather
Flooding
Fire
Serious damage to accommodation
Government restrictions
Emergencies
Major infrastructure failure
Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Where Daisy’s Meadow Retreat cancels a stay for these reasons, a full refund of the amount paid for the affected booking will be provided.

13. Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Daisy’s Meadow Retreat.

Guests remain responsible for their dogs at all times and must ensure they:

Are kept under appropriate control
Do not cause unreasonable disturbance
Do not damage accommodation or property
Do not present a danger to other guests, animals or property

Guests must clean up after their dogs.

Any damage caused by a guest’s dog may be charged to the person who made the booking.

14. Smoking and Vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the bell tents and other enclosed accommodation.

Smoking is permitted outside.

Guests must safely dispose of cigarettes and smoking materials and must not leave them unattended or discard them on the ground.

Extra care must be taken because the site contains tents, timber, vegetation and open fires.

15. Parties and Visitors

Parties, organised events and similar gatherings are not permitted unless expressly agreed in advance.

Only guests included in the booking are permitted to stay at the accommodation.

Visitors who are not included in the booking are not permitted without prior agreement.

16. Quiet Hours

Guests must observe quiet hours between 10:00pm and 6:00am.

During this period, loud music, shouting and unreasonable noise should be avoided.

17. Wood-Burning Stove, Firepit and Barbecue

Guests may use the wood-burning stove, firepit and barbecue provided with their accommodation.

Guests must:

Never leave a lit fire, stove or barbecue unattended
Keep children appropriately supervised
Keep combustible materials a safe distance away
Follow any instructions provided
Use equipment only for its intended purpose
Ensure fires and barbecues are fully extinguished after use
Ensure equipment has safely cooled before being left unattended

18. Hot Tub Use

Where a private wood-fired hot tub is provided, guests must use it responsibly.

Guests must:

Not take glass into or around the hot tub area
Ensure children are supervised by an adult aged 18 or over at all times
Ensure an adult aged 18 or over controls and monitors the water temperature
Take care when entering and leaving the hot tub
Be aware that surfaces may become wet and slippery
Replace the hot tub cover after use
Follow any safety instructions provided

Guests should not use the hot tub where they believe doing so may be unsafe for them.

19. Children

Children of any age may stay when accompanied by a responsible adult.

The adult responsible for the booking remains responsible for supervising children throughout the stay.

Children should be appropriately supervised around:

Hot tubs
Firepits
Barbecues
Wood-burning stoves
Water
Rural terrain
Animals
Other potential hazards

20. Damage

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat does not currently require a separate damage deposit.

Guests are expected to treat the accommodation, furnishings, equipment and surrounding property with reasonable care.

The person making the booking may be charged the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing items damaged through:

Deliberate damage
Negligence
Reckless behaviour
Misuse
Damage caused by members of their party
Damage caused by pets

Reasonable wear and tear will not be charged.

Significant damage or breakages should be reported as soon as possible.

21. Guest Behaviour

Guests must behave responsibly and respectfully throughout their stay.

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat reserves the right to require guests to leave where there is serious or repeated:

Dangerous behaviour
Aggressive or threatening behaviour
Excessive noise
Damage to property
Illegal activity
Serious disturbance to others
Breach of fire or hot tub safety rules
Breach of these Terms & Conditions

Where guests are required to leave because of serious misconduct or repeated breaches, they will not normally be entitled to a refund for the remaining part of their stay, subject to applicable consumer law.

22. Parking

Parking is provided free of charge in the designated parking area.

Vehicles and their contents are left at the guest’s own risk.

Guests should ensure vehicles are locked and valuables are not left visibly inside.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

23. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat cannot accept responsibility for belongings that are lost, misplaced, damaged or stolen except where responsibility arises through negligence or another matter where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Guests should check their accommodation carefully before leaving.

24. Guest Safety

The countryside and glamping environment naturally includes hazards that may not be present in a conventional hotel.

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of their party.

Particular care should be taken around:

Uneven or muddy ground
Fires and hot surfaces
Hot tubs
Wet or slippery surfaces
Rural terrain
Outdoor furniture and equipment
Wildlife

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.

25. Booking Information

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring all information submitted is accurate.

This includes:

Guest names
Contact details
Number of guests
Accommodation selected
Dates of stay

Guests should notify Daisy’s Meadow Retreat as soon as possible if they discover an error in their booking information.

26. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning correctly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our control.

If you experience a technical problem while attempting to make a booking, do not assume the booking is confirmed unless you receive confirmation.

27. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content including text, photographs, branding, graphics and design belongs to Daisy’s Meadow Retreat or is used with permission.

Website content may be viewed for personal, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or commercially use website content without permission from Daisy’s Meadow Retreat or the relevant rights holder.

The website is operated using Wix and may use third-party services including:

30. Complaints and Problems

If you experience a problem during your stay, please raise it as soon as reasonably possible so Daisy’s Meadow Retreat has an opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve it.

31. Liability

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to your statutory rights, we will not normally be responsible for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable or which were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.

32. Changes to These Terms

Daisy’s Meadow Retreat may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

For bookings, the version that will normally apply is the version in force when the booking was made, unless a change is required by law or separately agreed with the guest.

The latest website version will be published at www.daisysmeadowretreat.com.

33. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and bookings with Daisy’s Meadow Retreat are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory consumer rights regarding where legal proceedings may be brought.
